Spring Writing Gala :: Writing Day 2

First of all, I'm very sorry about not posting this sooner, I meant to post it on tuesday, but I go busy. Then I meant to post it on wednesday, but I was doing stuff all day long and didn't get a chance. I finally sat down to finish it today. :)

Second, I was very amazed to get on today to find that there were 21 entries! I was completely shocked! Thank you everyone who as joined in the past few days, I'm excited about meeting new girls who love writing like me!

Let's get started on Writing Day 2!
What I Wish I had Know about My Characters
(everything you need to know about creating a character that you can SEE and KNOW)

I used to think that all you needed to know about your character was what they looked like and how old they were. I never knew that there was so much to actually creating a character. Through this first Writing Gala challenge, we'll be learning about creating Characters. Not just characters that you can read about, but ones that you can SEE and KNOW, and UNDERSTAND.

Characters are hard. Very, very hard. You really have to understand them to make them come to life. No one is going to want to read your stories or books or novels if your characters aren't just right.

For the first challenge, we're going to learning about creating the general idea of characters. Every day/couple of days, I'll post a new section about characters for this week, until we can really get an understanding of characters, then, next week, we'll move on to a different subject.

The first Challenge:
Write About Someone You Actually Know
Today, we'll be experimenting with explaining our character. To get a hang of this, let's try writing about someone you actually know. Hopefully you'll get an understanding on how to explain a person, and soon be able to explain a person in your imagination.

Choose someone you know well, and write everything about them until you think someone who has never met them will have an understanding of who they are, what they look like, and what their personality is like. Post your what you've written about your person, and link up.
Here is mine:
Meredith :: A Mini Princess, Singer, and Dancer
(aka, my 7 year old sister)
Meredith is known to want everything perfect and clean. She likes things to go her way.  She loves her curly brown hair and usually wears it down. She likes to copy her older sister (ahem... yes, Me) She is very photogenic and defiantly is very cute. She's constantly singing little songs that she makes up, and her voice is simply adorable. She loves to dance, and likes to wear sparkly dresses and tutus. Although she likes to be clean and be a princess, she's not afraid to get dirty. She loves to play outside, and loves spring weather. She is very sweet and loving too. She has sweet blue-green-brown eyes that light up like twinkling stars. Meredith is just a mini princess, singer, and dancer, there is no other way to put it.

Wasn't that fun? I thought it was! :)

Now it's you're turn to link up! Post a paragraph about someone you know well, and add the link to the post into the linky below.

Well, I'm off to do some planning for Script Frenzy, edit and rewrite (ugh) Maggie Blake, and write some in The Warrior. Yes, I am excited.
